Founded in 2008 by Reneltta Arluk, Akpik Theatre is a northern-based Indigenous company rooted in storytelling, resilience, and connection to land and language. Its name, inspired by the northern cloudberry, reflects the strength and perseverance required to thrive in the Arctic climate.

My collaboration with Akpik Theatre began in 2012 with the creation of their logo and business card; a mark that captures both symbolism and contemporary form. Since then, our work together has expanded to include theatrical posters for TUMIT and Kiuryaq, both powerful productions that continue to reach audiences nationally and internationally.

Each piece balances the essence of the performance with visual restraint, ensuring the art and message remain the focal point. It has been an honour to support a theatre company whose work bridges language, culture, tradition, and modern expression.
