Northwest territories Power corporation

Designing the 2003–2004 NWTPC annual report required a clear voice of its own — one that could speak to a population spread across vast distances and diverse realities. Over 42,000 people across 1.2 million square kilometres, many of them in communities accessible only by air or ice roads in winter.

Some relied on year-round roads, others on diesel generators as a lifeline. Yet across the North, residents were already as reliant on mobile devices and internet connectivity as those in the South. My role was to design visuals that reflected NWTPC’s values and brand while making this scale and complexity understandable to every reader.

The goal was not just presentation, but translation: to capture the scale, the challenges, and the resilience of a northern utility serving one of the most unique territories in Canada.
